3. Nat Berhe Vs. All Of The Giants Safeties

Position: Free Safety

Landon Collins pretty much has the strong safety position in a lock. He is so highly talented that he can blow away any competition on the Giants’ roster. That leaves the free safety position wide open. Nat Berhe is one of the more obvious choices to take the job. It’s his position to lose. He is going to have competition from every single safety on the Giants’ roster.

Berhe is going to receive steep competition from Cooper Taylor and Mykkele Thompson. They are the two top ranked safeties on the roster aside from Berhe and Collins. The Giants are going to choose wisely when it comes to free safety because they can’t repeat last year’s disaster.

Taylor had a lot of promise and talk around him when he was drafted in 2013. Scouts said that he had some similarities to Seattle Seahawks’ safety Kam Chancellor. That is why the Giants have held on to him despite his issues staying healthy.

Thompson and Taylor have one thing in common, they are both fifth round draft picks. They have something to prove to the Giants’ organization. Thompson was not even supposed to be drafted. Scouts had him going to a team as an undrafted free agent. The Giants took a chance on him because they said he would be great to pair with Collins. By the way it sounds, Berhe is already in trouble.
