If you thought every game on this list was a win, then I’m sorry I didn’t warn you. We turn to number seven and it was Manning’s final game of the 2007 season. We’ll come back to this season a little later, but right now let’s look at this match-up. The Giants had already secured a spot in the playoffs, but couldn’t finish strong against the undefeated New England Patriots at the moment.
We rank this for several reasons, it was Manning’s third year and he put up one of his best stat lines of that season. Manning threw for two touchdowns and 251 yards completing 22 out of his 32 attempts. He also posted up a above-average quarterback rating of 91.
In this match-up, Manning did all he could and utilized his receivers the best he could, but in the end it was too late for the G-Men. He gave his squad a 21-16 lead to finish off the first half after a three yard pass to tight end Kevin Boss.
In the third quarter, Manning connected with Burress for a 19 yard completion to stretch the Patriots’ gap 28-16. Like every team this season, no defense had an answer for quarterback Tom Brady and receiver Randy Moss as the dynamic duo would come back and take a commanding 28-38 lead.
Manning would later narrow his trail 35-38 after his second touchdown to Burress for three yards, but by then there would be nothing on the clock.
