Final Score: 41-34
Next on our list of Manning’s best, we jump to all the way into the 2012 season. Despite it being the only second of that season, Manning threw an outstanding 510 yards, which is still the most he’s ever thrown in one game. In a gritty battle with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Manning kept on hitting his targets.
Even though he threw for three touchdowns, he also gave away three interceptions. He also completed 31 out of his 51 attempts and averaged 10 yards a pass. His overall rating for the match-up finished at around 89.
This game is for sure memorable for Manning as he yet again came up clutch. With less than 10 minutes to go in the final quarter, the Giants were down 19-27 and needed answers quick. Manning threw up an 80-yard bomb to one of his favorite targets, Victor Cruz. That would tie the match 27-27 after a two point conversion.
Minutes later, Manning grabbed the lead after a 33 yard bullet to Martellus Bennett to make the score 34-27. The Bucs would tie it up, but the Giants assured the match wouldn’t stretch to overtime after a two yard rush by Andre Brown, that gave the Giants a 41-38 win over the Bucs.
