8. Morris “Red” Badgro

Morris Badgro was not only one of the greatest wide receivers in Giants’ history, but a multiple sport all pro. Badgro played both baseball and football, but his best performances were in his football career. He only played for the New York Giants and his tenure lasted about five years. During those five years, Badgro played a lot of defense, but was feared as an offensive weapon as well. He was very talented when he lined up to play as a receiver.

Badgro tied the NFL’s passing record with 16 receptions in 1934. We all have to remember that back in the day, NFL franchises hardly threw the ball. They were all about ground and pound football. So having 16 receptions was a pretty huge accomplishment. He was known for being clutch and making big catches when the game was on the line. Badgro was a four time All-Pro, and NFL Champion (1934) and a Pro-Football Hall Of Famer.
