4. Plaxico Burress

Say what you want about Plaxico Burress, but in his better days he was a huge part of Giants history. Burress came to the Giants as a free agent on a six-year $25 million dollar contract. He was a huge part of some of the Giants’ golden years. In his first season with the team, he hauled in 1,214 yards and seven touchdowns. That same year the team had an 11-5 record. After back-to-back good years, Burress really turned on the heat in 2007.

Burress was the teams’ top receiver that year with 70 receptions for 1,025 yards. He set a franchise playoff record that same year by catching 11 receptions for 154 yards. Burress was a major part if the Giants’ run to the Super Bowl facing the New England Patriots. He actually clinched the game by catching the game-winning touchdown in one of the most improbable Super Bowl wins in NFL history. He earned the status of a Super Bowl legend when he predicted a Giants win.
