4. Ereck Flowers

Ereck Flowers is most likely going to be thrown into the lineup due to Will Beatty’s recent injury. Flowers has received criticism from all-over about how the Giants should not have drafted him. Well, I say bring it on and I bet he’s saying the same. It’s always good to doubt a player because it creates motivation.

Flowers will have optimal success if he isn’t started at left tackle. Putting him on Eli Manning’s blind side wouldn’t be the smartest of ideas. The organization should let him learn the ropes first. Sometimes it’s not the smartest thing to rush a player in a position where he shouldn’t play.

If Flowers starts at right tackle, I think he will be a huge contributor to the team. The position is much more easier to grasp than left tackle and has a lower risk for Manning as well.

Flowers is a big, mean, nasty player. He has a bit of a mean streak in him and that should scare the heck out of some defenders. The Giants could use a little bit of attitude on the offensive line and Flowers will provide just that. Flowers coming up big at right tackle could not only save the team’s offensive line and help out Manning. That would instantly make him one of the contributors.
