5. Lead The League In Sacks

Everyone understands why the Giants were so eager to reunite with defensive coordinator, Steve Spagnuolo. The Giants desire to be the best pass rushing team in the NFL. They seek big plays not only from their dazzling receivers but their dominant defensive ends. The Giants have the talent to be the best pass rushing team there is, and it is Spagnuolo’s job to make it happen.

It is Spagnuolo’s job to reign in Jason Pierre-Paul and focus the Giants freakishly talented pass rusher so that he can dominate on a weekly basis. When Pierre-Paul is on fire nobody can slow him down on his way to the passer. He goes on big tears of production but he hasn’t done it on a regular basis since 2011 when he had 16.5 sacks. The talent and the rare skill-set is still very much there for Pierre-Paul. His 2014 season wasn’t exactly shabby he had 12.5 sacks for the season; the problem is almost all of those sacks came in the last handful of games. Spagnuolo seems to be the pass rushing guru and he will find a way to get the good Pierre-Paul on a regular basis.

The Giants have some really good talent at the defensive end position. Damontre Moore looks primed to become a dominant starter for this defense. Rookie, Owamagbe Odighizuwa has a high motor and his potential has an incredibly high ceiling. Robert Ayers was injured in the OTA’s but he figures to make a huge impact on the edge for the Giants defense. The Giants defense will always be in attack mode and the Giants have the pass rushers to dominate in the backfield on a consistent basis.
