3. How Will He Pair With Victor Cruz?

On paper the combination of Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz sounds amazing. Like peanut butter and jelly or cookies and cream, the two receivers are the perfect combination. Yet we still have to see how it works on the football field. Because of their injuries last season, we have yet to see the two on the field at the same time. The Batman and Robin like duo starts in 2015.

Cruz does his best work in the slot. Beckham Jr. is best utilized as the X receiver. The Giants need to put him alone on an island with a cornerback and align Cruz in the slot on the opposite side. The defense is put into a quandary, do they roll their coverage to Beckham Jr. or Cruz? Rueben Randle and Larry Donnell aren’t exactly slouches either. The Giants have so many weapons its almost silly. This only makes both Cruz and Beckham Jr. more unstoppable. You can’t stop every weapon that the Giants have. If you slow down Beckham Jr. or Cruz, it just means the other will have a big day.

Essentially the defense is like a black jack player at a casino. It is possible to win some hands but the game is ultimately rigged in the Giants favor. Beckham Jr. is the best weapon the Giants have, and that is saying an awful lot. The Giants were 6-10 last season but it wasn’t because they lacked offensive playmakers. As we prepare for 2015 plan on celebrating a lot of Beckham Jr. touchdowns.
