2. Mel Hein ( 1931-1945) 

Mel Hein is the first and only offensive linemen to win the MVP award. Hein played 15 years with the Giants. He never missed a single game. Hein was elected to the NFL Hall of Fame. He was also on the Sporting News’ Top 100 List for the NFL. He was number 74. Hein was a force at center for the Giants for 15 years.

Hein also played middle linebacker for the Giants. He was an excellet player on both sides of the ball. He was dominant all around. Hein played both sides of the ball while being an important leader and force on the team. Hein is regarded as one of the toughest players in team history. It seemed as Hein was always on the field.
