10. Al Blozis (1942-1944)

Al Blozis had a memorable career for the New York Giants. He was drafted by the Giants in the fifth round out of Georgetown. However he only played two seasons with the team. Blozis was a dominant player in his two seasons with Giants. Blozis made the Pro Bowl in just his second season with the Giants.

Blozis was named to the first All Pro team in 1943. Blozis served the country in World War II and sacrificed his career. Sadly Blozis lost his life serving the country and never played again. Blozis could have been one of the best offensive linemen to play the game. He had such a dominating start to his career.

This is a player that you may not have heard of, but who was very important to the Giants in his short career. More importantly than any of his accomplishments on the football field, we must honor his service to the United States of America. He was a true hero in a day when we truly needed heroes.
