6. Carl Hubbard (1927-1928)

Cal Hubbard was another excellent linemen in Giants history. Hubbard was another player who had a limited career. Hubbard played just two seasons with the Giants. Hubbard was a part of a championship title in 1927. In 1928 he was an all pro player.

Hubbard demanded to be traded to the Packers following 1928 because he hated the big city life. Hubbard won three championships with the Packers. He won four titles in his career. However he had an extremely limited career with the Giants. Hubbard could have been even higher on the list had he stayed with the Giants. The Packers won three straight title with Hubbard. Hubbard was able to bring his winning ways to the Packers. The Giants did not have the same success once he left.

Hubbard had a deep sports background. Not only was he a dominant football player but he also became an American League Umpire. Hubbard became the Chief Umpire in the American League in 1958 after his career was over. Hubbard is the only man to be enshrined in both the MLB and NFL Hall of Fame.
