Grading The Draft:

The Giants hit a home run with their first two selections. They drafted Ereck Flowers with the ninth overall pick and they traded up to get Landon Collins in the beginning of the second round. Flowers importance cannot be overstated, without him the Will Beatty injury would have been catastrophic to this franchise. Collins looks to be the Giants only solid option at strong safety and he is expected to give the defense a little extra toughness this season.

Owamagbe Odighizuwa was another solid pick in the third round. Out of UCLA, Odighizuwa looks to be a run stuffing defensive end who will help as a pass rusher. Odighizuwa adds to a really impressive group of defensive ends.

The first three picks of the draft are home runs and that’s all you can ask for. The Giants also are excited about there later picks including Bobby Hart and Geremy Davis.
