The New York Giants had what can only be referred to as a terrible season in 2014. That being said the Giants showed us some things that should give Giants fans a positive outlook on the new football season. How could the way Eli Manning played in 2014 not give you a little hope? How could the way Odell Beckham Jr. played in his rookie season not get you excited for year two of him wearing the Giants Big Blue. How could the return of Victor Cruz not get you just a little bit excited?

The Giants have a lot to look forward to and they began to build it last season. You may be thinking that nothing positive can be taken from a 6-10 season in which the Giants suffered a 7 game losing streak. I get that though process, it was a pretty brutal season. The thing is that there were things that the Giants were beginning to build last season. Maybe the team was just a year away from actualizing its true potential.

The Giants had just installed a new offensive system. After years of Kevin Gilbride’s system, the Giants had to learn the very detailed system that Ben McAdoo brought to the table. The Giants didn’t have their full strength team for most of the season. Geoff Schwartz, Cruz and Beason went down with injuries, and they weren’t the only ones to get banged up. I’m not here to give excuses to the Giants for their miserable performance of last season. What I am here to do is to tell you the 5 big stats that point to the Giants having a big 2015 season.
