New York Giants Unveil New Slogan For 2015

Every year the New York Giants unveil a new team slogan to try to set the tone for the upcoming season. The slogan is meant to serve as a motivational line for the team to rally around over the course of the grueling NFL season. Earlier this week, NJ.com’s Jordan Raanan reported that this year’s slogan is “embrace the grind” and it fits this team perfectly.

The slogan will be printed on all the locker room shirts and banners and will remind the team that the price of getting back to their winning ways will be constant hard work. The same grit and grind that has defined this team’s legacy for decades has once again been encompassed in this short and simple quote.

The team obviously felt that their core values and beliefs in passion and hard work must be re-instilled in a team that has seen a lot of new faces and changes in team captains in recent years.

The label placed on the 2015 Giants by many is that this is a team with a lot of question marks and a lot to prove across the board. The team plans to use that label placed on them by many “experts” as motivation to prove them all wrong. The Giants have made a habit of proving doubters wrong and after three straight seasons of missing the playoffs, it is time to once again prove them wrong again.

That is why ’embrace the grind” is the perfect rallying cry for 2015. Hard work and constant grinding are the foundations upon which championship teams are built on. Nobody understands that better than head coach Tom Coughlin who has been at the helm for two championship teams that were always looked at as underdogs.

Coughlin and the rest of the Giants front office realize that just because other teams might be favored doesn’t mean they can’t get beat by a team that wants it more than they do.

That hunger is built by a team working and grinding together day in and day out to become a championship caliber team. The Giants have talent on their roster, but in order to maximize their potential it is imperative that their players have one goal in mind and are willing to unite and work their absolute hardest to bring the Lombardi Trophy back to the Big Apple.

That is what “embrace the grind” means and why it is a perfect slogan for a team that must get back to the basics of hard work and dedication in order to once again reach the promised land.
