In the later rounds of the draft, make it a point to take a chance on wide receiver Victor Cruz. It can’t do too much damage to your team to take a chance on him late in the draft. Cruz is a high reward low risk kind of a player this year. Some say the risk is high, but how high could it really be if he’s one of your last draft choices in a 10-team league?

Cruz is not going to be seeing much attention from defenses because they are going to be focused on Beckham. Beckham is the real threat on the Giants’ offense in their eyes at the moment. That will leave Cruz wide open to wrack up some real fantasy points for your team.

If you draft him at the right time, you could end up with a second tier wide receiver or a very tempting trade chip. Cruz wants to be the comeback player of the year so why not just take the risk and add him onto your team. We have all seen what Cruz is capable of from a fantasy perspective, so it really can’t hurt.

What’s so sweet about this choice is the fact that Cruz isn’t playing as the number one wide receiver anymore. Cruz had some of his best games as an unknown. Falling back into that position may not be the worst thing in the world for his fantasy value.
