The days are getting closer to training camp and assumptions are being made about the Giants’ final roster. Jason Pierre-Paul recently got hurt in a fireworks accident so the Giants have to prepare for an alternative. It’s a chance for another defensive player to step up his game. It’s occurrences like this that could lead to a couple of surprise players earning starting roles.

Tom Coughlin is a very old school coach. It’s not easy for some rookies to adjust to his attitude, but they will learn to love him the way all of his players do. It may be more difficult for a rookie to adjust because some of them have a very cocky attitude. Coughlin knocks that attitude right out of them and makes them mature quicker than they would on their own.

Believe it or not, these little things all play into training camp, especially with a team like the Giants. The Giants do not tolerate any bad attitudes in their locker room. To be a starter on the Giants you have to carry yourself a certain way.

The veterans have a bit of an advantage in this aspect of the game, but who knows what could happen in training camp. It is one of the most interesting times of the NFL season. It is very possible that these three players could earn a starting role come September.
