3. Corey Washington WR

I don’t care what anyone says, Corey Washington is not overrated. Yes, last year he had a very good preseason and nothing was made of it, but this year is different. Washington is not a rookie anymore and has a lot of determination to make some big things happen for him this year. It seems he started his conquest off right with a very strong offseason workout and mini-camp campaign.

Now is the time for Washington to step it up because Victor Cruz may not be the same player that he used to be. That leaves a position wide open in the depth chart. Of course, a certain series of events has to happen for this to occur. As talented as Washington is, it’s going to be very hard to beat out both Cruz and Rueben Randle.

Washington is going to have to repeat the performance he put on in last years’ preseason to earn some valuable starting time. He scored a touchdown in every single preseason game. Each touchdown was at a critical moment with the game on the line, which proves that Washington has the clutch factor.

After all his hard work, Washington finally got recognition from Eli Manning. Manning probably didn’t even have a clue who Washington was, but it was reported that Washington is slowly gaining Manning’s trust as a receiver. Getting the trust of Manning is bigger than most fans would think. Don’t be surprised to see Washington work his way into being the third string wide receiver.
