Winner: Steve Spagnuolo

Ben McAdoo gets a lot of praise for revitalizing the Giants’ offense, but now its Spagnuolo’s turn. Spagnuolo is going to make lemonade out of a bad lemon of a defense. He will take a hurt Pierre-Paul and know how to use him properly and create a fearsome pass rush.

Spagnuolo will take the Giants’ secondary and make them look like superstars. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will bounce back and resemble his former self. He will team up with Prince Amukamara and give quarterbacks a very hard time passing the ball.

The real interesting part of winning this award will be what Spagnuolo does with Kennard and Collins. He will take those two players and mold them into outstanding defensive editions for the Giants. Taking a highly underrated squad like this and making giving any improvements from last year will warrant this award.

Someone is going to have to take over for Tom Coughlin and Spagnuolo may be the man. If he turns the defense around enough, he could impress Jerry Reese and John Mara enough to be the next head coach of the Giants. This is very bold, but you never know what could happen in the NFL.
