1-Defense comes up with more then 50 sacks

Last year the Giants defense finished 3rd in the NFL with 47 sacks. They didn’t even play well. Seriously they had trouble getting to the qb all season and they still finished with 47 sacks. With the additions of Owa Odighizuwa, George Selvie, and Kenrick Ellis the Giants can now rotate players in and out of that line and keep guys fresh  all game. WIth this very deep unit on the defensive front I expect them to wear down the trenches and consistently attack from all angles. The rotational defensive front worked for the Giants for so long, once they lost some depth ( ie, Dave Tollefson) guys couldn’t get the quality breaks they needed to. That rotation looks like its back and maybe deeper then ever. 47 seems like a number that should be surpassed. The more sacks they can get the more down and long situations the Giants will find themselves in. This will only force the other teams to keep throwing the ball and that will continue to put the Giants line in position to get to the passer. Expect New York to be in the opponents backfield all season. They have the depth to get over a few injuries. The diversity of pass rushers, run stuffers, and hybrid rusher/stuffers leaves the Giants with a unit that will be pacing themselves to lead the league in the sack department.
