4. Can the Offensive Line Survive Injuries?

Injuries are a part of the game that you always have to be prepared for? The Giants have some serious issues in regards to their depth up front. At the guard and center positions the Giants are fine. There are multiple options for the Giants at these three positions; the center position is what we’ll talk about on the next slide. The Giants though need some extra security at the tackle position.

The Giants need Flowers and Pugh to play well on opposite sides for this whole thing to have any chance of working. If one of them gets hurt the Giants are in trouble. As I mentioned before nobody wants to see Marshall Newhouse starting as a tackle on either side. The Giants can do some shuffling on the interior of their offensive line but the tackles have to play and they have to play well.

The Giants depth at the tackle position is rather alarming. If Will Beatty didn’t get injured the Giants would have had three respectable options for two positions. Without Beatty the Giants have some options, but none of them are good if Flowers and Pugh go down.
