Mykkele Thompson

I think most people would say Odighizuwa was a steal for the Giants, but Thompson could be the biggest steal of all of the Giants’ selections. He’ll probably offer more value on special teams because he’s got quick wheels for his 6’2” frame, but I really think he could be a big contributor on defense.

This is going to be a guy to look out for in camp. Landon Collins will likely play strong safety, but if Thompson wins the free safety spot, he has the potential to be a centerfielder for the defense. That could lead to a lot of interceptions in Steve Spagnuolo’s scheme. Anyone who slides into the free safety role has the potential to really be a game-changer for this team. With a good camp, it very well could be Thompson.
