4. Moving Around Your Best Pass Rushers:

The offense knows what they’re going to do before the snap, they even know when the ball is going to be snapped. The defense has to win the advantage on every play because the offense naturally has it. Pass rush is the great equalizer. If you can cause havoc in the backfield you can turn the tables in favor of the defense. One creative way to do this is to move your best pass rushers around.

Who says that your best pass rushers have to come from the edge, against offensive tackles who are trained to matchup with their quickness? In an obvious pass rushing situation, the Giants should move a defensive end inside. If you think a center can deal with the quickness and explosion of a pass rusher like Moore, you have another thing coming. Here he has a straight line to the quarterback.

Having a pass rushing player floating around the front seven is called having a spinner. That spinner is the player that the offensive line has to constantly be aware of. This can also be a great way to divert blocking to one side to overload the other. The Giants should from time to time employ this strategy as a curveball the opponent has to adjust to.
