1. Eli Manning – Quarterback
No team can afford to lose their starting quarterback. It’s not different for the Giants, and especially for a young team looking to bounce back after a lost season, Manning’s performance is going to be as vital as ever. They’re a team looking for a defensive identity and relying on their Ben McAdoo-run offense to take another step forward this year.
Plus, this team hasn’t seen an offense not run by Eli Manning since 2004. I don’t think they’re interested right now in seeing what it might be like with someone else at the helm.
Should Manning miss any time, the Giants will be in dire trouble. They can’t afford his loss.
