New York Giants: Superstars make team compelling

The New York Giants have five primetime games despite going a combined 13-19 in the past two seasons. This is because the Giants have superstars that make the team compelling.

Arguably the face of the franchise Eli Manning is quite the prolific passer. While he has had his fair share of struggles, he has also been pretty remarkable. With two-time Super Bowl MVP on his resume, he is a true superstar at the quarterback position.

Odell Beckham Jr. is perhaps the most exciting young receiver in the game. That is why Beckham Jr. is the Madden 16 cover athlete. 91 receptions and 12 touchdowns were a pretty good first season but when you consider he missed four games, it’s amazing.

Everybody likes a comeback story and the Giants have two players trying to make a comeback. Victor Cruz suffered a devastating injury and he is trying to work his way back into the action. Because his rehab was so grueling there isn’t a soul in the football world that isn’t pulling for Cruz. He has worked really hard to get back on the field and the Giants would have a feel good story on their hands if he returned to stardom.

Jason Pierre-Paul is trying to return to the game after a rather foolish fireworks mishap caused severe damage to his hand. Pierre-Paul’s story has been dominating the headlines and all eyes will be on his efforts to come back and make a big impact on the team.

The Giants have five prime time games. This may seem odd for a team that has accomplished next to nothing in the past few seasons, but it is because they have superstars that every football fan wants to see.
