3. Beckham Jr. Will Score 16 Touchdowns
Last season Dez Bryant led the league in touchdown receptions with 16. Scoring that many touchdowns isn’t easy, but Beckham Jr. can definitely do it. He was only four touchdowns shy of Bryant last season. There are a three reasons why I think Beckham Jr. will reach this touchdown mark.
First if you can catch 12 touchdowns in 12 games, you can theoretically catch 16 touchdowns in 16 games. Beckham Jr. is good for a few games where he just cannot do anything wrong. He is good for a few dominating performances. Even if he just sticks at the pace he was on last season, he should be able to get there if he stays healthy.
Secondly I think he can get 16 touchdowns because he doesn’t need to be in the red zone to score. This is a player that can take a slant pattern 80 yards. If Beckham Jr. gets into the open field, the defense might as well say good bye because he is gone. The good news here is that Ben McAdoo’s offense is designed for him to make plays after the catch.
Finally because Beckham Jr. will not be returning punts this season, he will be able to provide just a little more on the offense.
