Running Backs:
1. Shane Vereen: Vereen has never been asked to be a featured back who gets a lot of carries but he can be counted on when called upon. What Vereen really brings to the table is his ability to catch the football. He had over 50 receptions last season with the New England Patriots.
2. Rashad Jennings: Jennings is a jack of all trades and he does everything at least adequately. While he is capable of making the big play, you don’t count on it from Jennings. Jennings has never rushed for 1,000 yards in a season, partially because he is injury prone.
3. Andre Williams: Williams was the Giants fourth round pick last season and the Giants aren’t going to give up on him just yet. He showed flashes of brilliance last year but struggled as well. He is a one dimensional down hill running back.
4. Akeem Hunt: Hunt is the surprise of the group. It is hard to write him off when you consider that the Giants have three decent running backs and one of them gets banged up easily. At the end of the day, Hunt has a Percy Harvin like skill set and the Giants have to find room for him on their roster.
