Wide Receivers

1. Odell Beckham Jr.: In 12 games as a rookie, Beckham Jr. had over 90 receptions. Beckham Jr. gave a desperate fan base something to cling to during a losing season. The Giants found a real superstar here.

2. Rueben Randle: Randle stepped up big time last season when Cruz went down with an injury. The Giants really like Randle and he will take another step forward in his fourth season in the league.

3. Victor Cruz: Avoiding the PUP list, Cruz will be part of the active roster. The Giants will ease Cruz into action. If Cruz can regain his former stardom this will be a very formidable offense.

4. James Jones: Jones was signed very much as the insurance policy to Cruz. Its hard to see a receiver who had 73 receptions last year and who was with Ben McAdoo in Green Bay not making the active roster. Jones doesn’t have the burst he once was but as the fourth option in the wide receiver ranks he doesn’t need it.

5. Corey Washington: The Giants are enamored with Washington who looks like he could be a real star eventually. The extremely raw receiver from Newberry State has all the physical tools.

6. Geremy Davis: Because the Giants used a draft pick on Davis, albeit a sixth round pick, I think he probably makes the football team. The Giants saw something in Davis that they really like. I will say this in a room full of speedy receivers he is the unique possession receiver.
