Linebackers:

1. Jon Beason: Beason is a great linebacker, though injuries have really derailed his career. Beason is a key element to the defense because he is a great leader and communicator on the field. When he is on the field running the football is a lot harder to do.

2. Devon Kennard: The Giants are quite infatuated with Kennard and it is not hard to figure out why. This outside linebacker flies around the field and shows unlimited promise.

3. J.T. Thomas: Thomas is a strong tackling linebacker who is hoping to get a starting opportunity with the Giants. The Giants quicly snatched him off the free agent market which makes me think they have big plans for him.

4. Cole Farrand: Farrand is the gamble I took in my predictions but I love this undrafted free agent out of Maryland. The Giants could very well use a little more depth at the middle linebacker position.  Farrand is a tackling machine.

5. Jonathan Casillas: Casillas is a strong special teams player and a sure tackler. He comes from the New England Patriots.

6. Jameel McClain: McClain is an experienced player whose best days are past him. He is a high motor player and he has a high football IQ.

7. Mark Herzlich: Herzlich is a linebacker who has struggled so far in his career with the Giants. The team isn’t willing to give up on this player who has a lot of heart just yet.
