5 – Corey Webster – 2005-2013

The 2005 2nd round pick out of LSU did not come into his own until the Giants reached the playoffs following the 2007 season. After being benched in the regular season and starting only 3 games, Webster went on to start all 4 games during the Giants run to victory in Super Bowl 42. During that run Webster intercepted 2 passes. One coming in the endzone, blanketing Joey Galloway in the NFC Wild Card Round victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers . The other ended the Green Bay Packer career of all-time great Brett Favre, in overtime of the NFC Championship game setting up the game-winning field goal for Lawrence Tynes. Webster did his part in keeping Tom Brady at bay in 2 super bowls, being part of a cornerback duo that allowed only one pass play of over 20 yards . He quietly totaled 20 interceptions, 7 forced fumbles, 2 fumbles recovered and registered 371 tackles during his career.
