2. A Well Oiled Machine

You want the Giants to go out there and look like they know what they’re doing. You want the Giants to look like they have done this a few times before. Because in the first preseason game they didn’t look like they even knew what they were doing. The offense was out of sync completely. You had Manning having miscommunications with his receivers resulting in balls being thrown into the dirt. You want to see the starters look better than the back ups, not the other way around.

The Giants defense was just as alarming. Andy Dalton carved the Giants up like they were a Thanksgiving turkey. The backup then came in and did the same thing to the Giants defense. The defense looked like they were completely outmatched in the game. Steve Spagnuolo clearly had a lot to work on after that game with the starters and the back ups.

You want the Giants to give you some confidence going into the third week of the preseason. The Giants need to show that they can get the job done and that there is hope for this season. The Giants need to show that they’ve been working hard in practice. They need to be a well oiled machine in this preseason game. The starters need to get their work in and then they need to get out with their confidence in tact. The second and third string players need to look sharp as well.
