There are certain stories we all like following in the preseason. Which random undrafted free agent(s) is going to make the team? How’s the stating quarterback doing? And which player will win one of the open starting positions up for grabs?
But sometimes, the storylines that people need to pay attention to aren’t the biggest or sexiest. Often, it’s the smaller stories that are worth paying attention to–such as, which starters are playing well, and which aren’t. I say this because while certain players are very likely going to be given a starting role, they still have a lot to prove this season because they haven’t proven enough throughout their careers yet.
And that process of proving themselves starts in the preseason. Here are four players the Giants have who need to prove themselves before the regular season kicks off.
