2. Manning Puts Up Pedestrian Numbers
The Giants offense wasn’t that impressive in this game. The Giants scored two touchdowns in this game and one of them was on defense by Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Manning was 20/36 for 193 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions. Tony Romo threw two interceptions but put up over 350 yards and three touchdowns.
In the first half, the Giants offense had only 88 yards. They had chances to get something going but the offense never really heated up. The Giants scored 13 points in both the first and second half and kicked a whopping four field goals. The Giants couldn’t put the Cowboys away. Manning needed to turn one of those field goal drives into a touchdown drive for the Giants to win this game.
Things rolled the Giants way early and often in this game. The Cowboys had to settle for two field goals and had two turnovers in the first half. Things almost worked with Manning having a average performance but in the end Manning needs to do more for the Giants to beat a quality opponent.
