5. The Giants Have Something To Prove

Make no mistake, the Giants’ pride is definitely hurting right now. They are going to use their bruised egos to their advantage this time around. Now that the NFL recently came out and said they botched a call that could have helped the Giants win the game, I could only imagine how coach Tom Coughlin reacted.

If Coughlin is one thing, he is a great leader. He will know how to use this loss to motivate his team to a victory this Sunday. Coughlin seems to have done a pretty good job this off-season and the questionable roster cuts he made are working out so far.

Steve Spagnuolo’s defense has turned out to be better than anyone anticipated. That is going to go a long way this season. The offense hopefully won’t have to play catch up in every game. That puts less pressure on Eli Manning and makes it easier for him to maintain a stable offense.

Ben McAdoo is going to take a totally new approach with the Falcons. Against the Dallas Cowboys, the Giants took a more conservative approach, which clearly didn’t work. The defense almost won that game, not the offense. Look for the Giants to throw more down to field and utilize Odell Beckham’s insane abilities.
