Where are the linebackers?

It’s still early in the season, so I will cut Jerry Reese and co. some slack for now. But I’m really wondering what their plan was on defense with this linebacking crew. Tony Romo and Matt Ryan have made this unit look silly for two weeks now and they’re really getting burned on those underneath routes. They don’t trust Devon Kennard in coverage and continue to put Jonathan Casillas out there, who is overmatched when he has to cover wide receivers.

I said this team has more talent than I initially believed, but this is a unit that is lacking in that department. It’s not the first time a Giants team has had limited linebacking talent, and it’s not the first time the Giants headed into a season with instability at a key position (wide receivers in 2011 after Steve Smith and Kevin Boss left), but all three of their linebackers need to play better because the Giants are getting roasted underneath.
