2. Matt Jones /Alfred Morris

In week one Alfred Morris had 25 carries for well over 100 yards. If you were to tell most fantasy owners that going into week 4 that Morris would be in a carries battle with Matt Jones they would be shocked. Morris has seen his carries go down from 25 to 18 to 6. Jones has seen his carries go from 6 to 19 to 11. Jones had 123 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Rams in week 2 but could not get anything going against the Giants stingy run defense. Coach Gruden has said that he still views Morris as the lead back for the team making for a confusing dynamic for owners.

Jones’s emergence has made for a nice surprise for fantasy owners. It has made for a frustrating surprise for Morris owners. Right now i would say you either own both of these guys or you own neither. Jones has surprised many fans and owners alike with his power and speed. He looks like he can be an explosive fantasy running back. Morris has proven to owners already just how good he can be. It is a nice surprise especially if you own both players. Until we get some more clarity on who is the starter its hard to play either guy. We have seen two running backs produce before and this one can be no different.
