1. DeMarco Murray

Last year Murray dominated fantasy football with his absurd numbers. This year he has had an absolutely terrible start to his Eagles career. Murray has just 11 rushing yards through two games. Last year it seemed Murray had an 11 yard run almost every drive. Murray was of course behind the dominating offensive line of the Dallas Cowboys. However Murray is still a talented,  top flight back. If his numbers weren’t embarrassing enough, Murray missed the Eagles week 3 win against the Jets. Needless to say it has been a shockingly bad start for the Eagles rusher.

Murray however has given owners some hope with not only his past numbers but with his pass catching through two games. Murray had a rushing and a receiving touchdown in his first game. In week two he had 5 catches for over 50 yards. So if your playing in a PPR league Murray’s points are not all that bad. However Murray is a powerful back. Though he can be an average receiver out of the backfield you can’t supplement his fantasy numbers from last season with dump off passes.

Like I said with Sam Bradford this is a new offense for the player and they may still be getting used to it. Yesterday with Murray out Ryan Matthews had no problem running the football on the Jets talented defense. Murray is a better back than Matthews and I think his performance yesterday gives Murray hope. Murray is joined by Matthews and Darren Sproles. The Eagles can have a three headed monster in the backfield. Murray needs to get back on track and I think he can. First he needs to get healthy. Murray has been shockingly bad to start the season but you have to hang in their and continue to trust Murray.
