2. Running Back By Committee

While the Giants don’t have a dominant running back they have three backs that contribute heavily to their offense. Shane Vereen is a great pass catcher who can make defensive players miss in the open field. Rashad Jennings is the best rusher on the squad and is a jack of all trades. Andre Williams gives you some power here and there and is a very interesting player for goal line situations.

Rashad Jennings has the most rushing attempts and yards. On 42 carries he has rushed for 134 yards. Andre Williams has rushed for 121 yards on 37 carries. Shane Vereen has 77 yards on only 20 attempts. While none of these numbers is all that impressive it all adds up to a functional backfield. Especially when you consider how important Giants running backs are to the passing game.

Shane Vereen has 12 receptions for 122 yards. He averages 10.2 yards per reception and did have a 37 yard gain. Vereen is an added element to the offense. The defense has to account for him because he is good for three to four good plays a game in the passing attack. Jennings has 7 receptions for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns.
