Manning gets the game ball because he put this team on his back. The running game wasn’t a big part of the offense against the 49ers and Manning had to sling it 54 times. Manning didn’t mind the heavy workload, the Giants’ field general put up some pretty impressive numbers.

Manning was 41-54 for 441 passing yards, 3 touchdowns and one interception. The interception was a shot to the end zone to Odell Beckham Jr. who was facing one on one coverage. While the throw was poor, you can’t blame Manning for trying to get it in there for the score before the half. That was the only flaw on Manning’s stellar night.

The Giants needed a last minute drive to beat the 49ers. The Giants offense had begun to cool down a little in the fourth quarter. Manning had no problem getting the offense back into a healthy groove and he led them down the field for a touchdown. Manning’s touchdown pass to Larry Donnell sealed the deal and it was a thing of beauty.
