Donnell gets the second game ball not because he had a great game but because he had a great moment that saved the game for the Giants. Donnell had six receptions for just 35 yards and a touchdown, the stat line wasn’t a thing of beauty but his touchdown was.

Donnell used his big 6’6″ frame to make a big play in the end zone. Donnell is a guy the Giants are hoping can make plays like this more consistently. There is no questioning his ability but there is a lack of consistency with Donnell. When he makes a play like that to win the game, you have to be thrilled.

Donnell wasn’t heroic for most of the game but for a team that struggles to finish, he stepped up when it mattered most. For that he gets a game ball.
