The New York Giants fell 52-49  to the New Orleans Saints in the most incredible shootout of the season. While I could go on and on about the disappointing lack of defense in this game, now is the time to marvel at the numbers put up by the Giants and the Saints.

It was the perfect storm for offensive productivity. The Giants pass defense was near the bottom of the league and the Saints struggles are in the same area. You have two possible hall of fame quarterbacks and some of the most amazing offensive weapons in the game. There was no way this game was going to be a low scoring  smash mouth battle.

The Giants lost. There are no moral victories in the NFL or any sporting contest. That doesn’t mean we can’t look at the numbers put up by these two offenses. It may have been a gut wrenching finish for the Giants but their fans were given an absolute stunning offensive show.
