The Giants Rushing Attack Can’t Be Counted On

The Giants average 94.5 yards rushing per game which is 27th in the NFL. The Giants are sticking with it but the ground game just hasn’t produced enough on a consistent basis. There have been good moments for the rushers, Rashad Jennings, Shane Vereen, Andre Williams and even Orleans Darkwa but the Giants have not exactly dominated on the ground. This puts a ton of pressure on the offensive line to protect Eli Manning.

A quarterbacks best friend is the running game. The Eagles didn’t take the Giants rushing game seriously and they came at Manning with relentless force. The Giants lost that game 27-7 and the lack of a running attack played a big factor. The Giants have trouble closing out ball games because if the offense is conservative it doesn’t function.

The Giants offensive line was the priority this offseason. From the looks of their rushing statistics it ill probably be the priority in the next offseason as well.
