5. Will Victor Cruz Return?
I just mentioned Victor Cruz. Remember that guy? That team captain? That Super Bowl winning receiver? He’s still on the roster. He’s still in New York. Where exactly… I couldn’t tell you, but he’s here somewhere.
Dwayne Harris has had some really nice moments, but I still think the Giants have played without a viable number three option for most of this year. The Preston Parker experiment failed, the tight ends haven’t particularly stepped up since Daniel Fells went down.
It’s not that it hasn’t worked, but when they have to face better secondaries like Carolina’s and Minnesota’s, having Cruz back in the lineup will help them at the very least move the ball. But it remains a question if we’ll actually see Cruz on the field again this season.
