8. Can Eli Continue To Limit Turnovers?
Eli Manning’s been dynamite this season. If not for guys named Brady or Dalton, I think Eli is in the MVP conversation. A 17:4 touchdown/interception ratio with a QBR around 100, this has been Manning’s best year outside 2011, and I think you could make the argument he’s actually been better this year. Not to mention, he could very well be on his way to rushing for 100 yards this year… he’s at 48 now! How about that!!
Rushing prowess aside, the best thing Eli’s done is limit his turnovers. He’s had just 5 all year, and he’s on pace to tie his career-low of 10, which he set his rookie season when he started just seven games.
Now, the Giants haven’t faced particularly good secondaries—Dallas, Philadelphia, San Francisco, but they have a few good ones coming up in Carolina, Minnesota, and Miami. I’m interested to see how accurate Eli can stay in the face of more talented, aggressive defenses. Not saying he can’t do it, but it’ll be more of a challenge.
