New York Giants: 3 Biggest Disappointments This Season

At 5-4 atop the NFC East, I’d call the New York Giants season a success thus far. To be frank, I wasn’t expecting a lot from this team to start the season. Not so much because of who they were, but because of what was around them. I thought Philadelphia would have a better offense, picked Dallas to win the division (good call, huh?), and I just didn’t think their offense was as high-octane as everyone made them out to be at season’s end last year.

Well, here they are, sitting in first place. It’s been a pleasant surprise through nine weeks, and it could be much better if they had closed out those two matchups with the Falcons and Cowboys.

But even when a team is playing better than expected, there are things they still do to disappoint. The Giants, while exceeding expectations in some areas, are weaker than I thought in others. And some players I thought would step up this year, haven’t.
