Rueben Randle
I was never sold on Randle. I always thought he isn’t a very good route runner and never had good chemistry with Eli. However, he’s an above-average talent, and after closing out 2014 with a bang, I thought Randle could have been primed for a real breakout this year.
That just hasn’t happened. Randle hasn’t really been a shell of himself—he’s just plateaued at a level that’s not very productive. He’ll catch a few passes, drop some. Make a highlight snag, and then run a wrong route and get a ball tipped so it can be intercepted. I do like Randle, but he’s one of the more frustrating players I’ve watched in some time. He has the talent to help the Giants, but given it’s his fourth year, I’m not sure he’ll reach it. His disappointing showing, to me, says he’s running out of chances.
