Sunday the Giants could have made their quest to the division title a lot easier. It hurts to think they could have been two games on both the Eagles and Redskins and 3 games on the Cowboys. Instead the team came out flat and slow and paid the price. Now the Giants are tied with the Redskins at 5-6 and are up just one game on the Eagles. However it’s simple the Giants need to finish better than the Redskins. The Redskins still have division games left as do the Giants , so the Redskins hold the tiebreaker now but that may not be the case come seasons end. On paper the Redskins have the easier schedule but the game is not played on paper.
The Giants were very sloppy Sunday. Eli Manning had three interceptions , however they really were not all on him. Besides Odell Beckham Jr the receivers had trouble getting open and did not make any plays. The run game was dead and has been quiet for the Giants of late. The Giants will now shift their focus to beating the Jets. The Giants need their offensive line to step up Sunday. That did not happen against Washington.
