5. Ben McAdoo
The Giants may look to hire from within and let offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo take the reins. McAdoo is more than qualified to take over the head coaching position. He revitalized Eli Manning’s career and created an offense best suited to his skills.
There have been multiple reports that McAdoo is the top in-house candidate. That makes total sense because Steve Spagnuolo shouldn’t be getting any looks after the year the Giants defense is having.
This is the most likely scenario given the fact that the head coaching market is very thin this year. It would also not be a very wise decision to change to a different offense scheme. Manning is thriving in the current one McAdoo already has in place.
The Giants’ best bet for success is stability. That is the goal John Mara is striving for. Mara isn’t known for shaking things up.
