2. Josh McDaniels

Another possibility is that Josh McDaniels may jump ship to become a head coach. The New England Patriots and the Giants have a lot of similarities as far as management goes. McDaniels will feel right at home with an established quarterback and at least one lethal wide receiver.

McDaniels supposedly will be searching for a head coaching position this offseason. Last year, the same window opened for him, but it didn’t amount to much. Owners may feel that Bill Belichick is the only brain behind the dynasty in New England.

There is a short list of reasons why McDaniels shouldn’t coach the Giants. The only knock against him is that he has a failed head coaching stint with the Denver Broncos. Other than that his resume is looking pretty tough to beat.

McDaniels may very well earn another Super Bowl ring this year. If he manages to do that again, a head coaching job is all but guaranteed for him next season. The Giants will most likely be at the top of McDaniels’ wish list.
