Josh Brown, K (36)

2015 Cap Hit: $1,35M

I don’t know why I’m so on board with letting a Pro Bowl alternate go, but when you have young guns like Tucker and former Giant McManus available, they could make the difference between extending a must-win overtime game, thus extending playoff chances, and watching postseason football from the couch. I know it’s foul to fart on Brown for 1 missed kick, but it’s hard to pass up long-term options.

    George Selvie, DE (28)

    2015 Cap Hit: $1,2M

Four sacks in 27 games. Only 2 batted down passes, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. Big Blue can do better.

    Rueben Randle, WR (24)

    2015 Cap Hit: $1M+

It’s crazy to give up on a 25 year old, but Rueben’s been on the brink of being good for a couple years now. He’s had opportunities to step and prove himself and has come up short. True, his 7 receiving touchdowns are the best of his career, but his receptions and yards per game are down. His inability to run precise routes or to even continue / see through his routes has cost the Giants numerous time with interceptions. He’s a great #4 guy, not a #3 or #2.

POSSIBLY SIGN: Mohamed Sanu, Alshon Jeffery, Travis Benjamin, Kamar Aiken

    Jayron Hosley, CB (25)

    2015 cap hit: $796,250

Two interceptions, 14 passes defended, 82 total tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery in four seasons. Safe to say, Jayron’s highlights have been few and far in between. When Hosley was drafted in 3rd round of the 2012 draft, fans expected big things and have received little in return.
