  • 372.2 Yards Per Game (7th in league, 6th in the NFC)
  • 271.7 passing yards per game (7th in league, 4th in NFC)
  • 36 passing touchdowns (tied 1st in league, 1st in NFC)
  • 16 passing plays of 40+ yards (2nd in league, 1st in NFC)
  • 3 fumbles receiving (tied 3rd in league)

Ben McAdoo asked Eli to throw a lot. In 8 games, Manning tossed the ball 40 or more times and only won twice. I love passing as much as the next run ‘n’ gunner, but there has to be some balance. It’s tough to do when you’re down by multiple scores, but with an improved defense that gets off the field on third down, there should be more rushing attempts to eat some clock and give the D a chance to breathe. It’s nuts to see only 3 fumbles from receivers, especially the way Odell holds the rock. Just another testament to the strength of his hands.
